The Kogi State Electoral Appeal Court declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduagani of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the Kogi Senatorial Central Election held in February.
It also annulled the victory of All Progressives Congress Senator Abubakar Ohere. The presiding judge, judge K. A. Orjiako made a unanimous decision of a panel of three, which revealed that it.
The results of Ohere swelled nine voting wards in Ajaokuta Municipal Area. He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission downgraded Natasha’s results in those areas and excluded the results of three other constituencies meant for Natasha in the same LGA.
After the necessary corrections, the court declared Nataša the winner of the election with 54,074 votes, before Ohere who got 51,291 votes.
